The Devil Wears Parsley

Tap Tap.. Is this thing on?

I finally took the leap into the vast and colorful world of wordpress!  I’ve been visiting blogs like www.thepioneerwoman.com and www.smittenkitchen.com, and I’ve grown to love them not only because of their content, but their content layout. On a hunch I did a quick investigation of their source files, only to find what I had suspected all along. They were both using wordpress! In the past, I have been known to be absolutely hell-bent on coding everything myself, and I’ve got to say that

  1. it never got me anywhere, and
  2. I’m really lazy these days.

Otsegoville is just about 4 years old now, and it looks like it’s from the early 2000’s. The content is kind of there, and the layout is just plain barf. I’d rather work on my actual content than kick around dust by coding all the time. I probably will spend a bit of time with the theming of this darn thing so it’s not so… shall I say for lack of a better descriptor… vanilla, but once that’s done, it’s going to be all about the content. What can I say… the Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond has inspired me to want to post blogs daily, and let the world keep up with what is going on in my life. Cheers, great world! Here comes Natalie.

    Hello Natalie,
I like your blogs. I bet the French Onion soup was great. I bet your husband would like meatloaf too, just a thought.
